The lasers are capable of cutting stainless steel with the help of a nitrogen assist gas. This assist gas is injected through the nozzle with the laser beam and the result is a shiny, smooth and dross free cut like shown in the pictures below. Stainless steel can be marked a dark color by using a marking spray such as Cermark or Thermark.
